![]() I think everyone should work out, but the stigma of douchebags that workout at gyms makes a LOT of people second guess that important choice. Not to mention all the kids around my age (18-21) who film themselves doing miniscule weight in overpriced clothes to try to become the next Instagram influencer. I think workouts should be good mentally and physically, not a fine line between tearing half the muscles in your body. I'd think this as situational, but at Crunch, everyone acts like my coworkers. I've made a significant amount of progress (several of our members I talk to and have rapport with across the gym telling me so) yet the moreso 'into it' people that I work with say I'm doing everything wrong and could see alot more progress tracking every last calorie and killing myself every workout. ![]() Several of my colleagues are your generic gym douches: tracking every calorie, wearing designer gym apparel, doing everything their way and you're wrong for not doing it their way. I'm not advanced enough to go to a bodybuilders' gym, but work out of a commercial one and bounce between ours (the local 'normal' gym) and a Crunch Fitness across town. Our civility rules apply at all times.Ĭontrary to what my statement forms, I work out 6 days a week. Feel free to use the Politics Megathread pinned to the front page.
